Agreement

By accessing or using Lucid (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Lucid is a personal writing and thinking tool that provides AI-powered analysis, pattern recognition, and accountability features. The Service is designed for personal reflection and self-improvement. It is not a medical device, therapeutic service, or substitute for professional mental health care.

Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Lucid, including journal entries, scores, and actions. By using the Service, you grant Lucid a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence terminates when you delete your content or account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure, or use automated means to access the Service without our express permission.

AI-generated content

The AI analysis, insights, and suggestions provided by Lucid are generated by automated systems. While we strive for accuracy and helpfulness, AI-generated content should not be treated as professional advice. The Service does not provide medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. Always consult qualified professionals for such matters.

Service availability

We aim to provide reliable access to the Service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve your data and provide export capabilities before any planned discontinuation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lucid and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
